Portumna Golf Club is located in the environs of Lough Derg under an hour from Galway City. It is a beautiful 18-hole parkland course which sweeps its way through forest and woodlands close to Lough Derg. Herds of deer can frequently be seen roaming the course. Portumna has lots of interesting shots, including a number of elevated tee box positions. There is a delightful club house with a facility of restaurant and bar, where visitors are welcomed all year round.
