Connemara Green Festival

About the 2023 festival

The ecology & biodiversity of Connemara are just a couple of the things that help make the region so beautiful & unique. The Connemara Green Festival is a relatively new festival in Letterfrack which aims to raise awareness of this ecology and help raise funds for biodiversity actions. The festival includes an ecology walk linking the national park to the seashore, pond dipping, a talk on the history of Letterfrack & a Leave No Trace workshop. There will also be Kayaking & Stand Up paddle boarding available throughout the Saturday and a number of associated events on the Sunday.

One of the highlights of the festival is expected be the Connemara Green Feast on Saturday evening and will be a sample tasting menu showcasing local food produce and foraging. It will take place in the Pangur Ban restaurant in the heart of Letterfrack Village. Places are limited so make sure to book on the website. All proceeds from tickets will go to actions for conservation.

Most of the activities over the weekend are free of charge and some require booking. Please check the website for more details. The Connemara Green Festival ends on Sunday with a walk through the community woodland and a small glass of something special to celebrate this wonderful place, land and seascape.
