Corrib House Tea Rooms

Corrib House Tea Rooms and Guesthouse is located at no. 3 Waterside, Woodquay, which is just a stones throw from the courthouse, and is the nicest tea rooms/cafe in Galway.

Open since October 2011, havingbeen faithfully restored in accordance with the age of the building circa 1820, and is the kind of place you would just love to find when visiting any city. It has oodles of character, is spotlessly clean and has the best views of any eating place in the city. It looks directly out over the Salmon Weir and if you get one of the window tables it will be pretty hard to leave.

It is only a two minute walk from shop street, but because there is little or no traffic it is splendidy quiet and relaxing.

There are two rooms both with open fireplaces and a blazing fire in one of them. The menu is a combination of breakfast items until 12.30pm and then a lunch menu. There are daily specials such as chicken and ham pie with a puff pastry top, auiche of the day with salad, wraps, open sandwiches, and soup.

Accommodation is also available with four, large, beautifully decorated bedrooms, and a least two of them have views over the river to die for. This new guesthouse is a wonderful find, centrally located with the best views in the city and parking at the front door after 6.30pm.
