Ferry services in Galway City and County

Aran Island Ferries sail to the Aran Islands located in Galway Bay all year round. All boats depart from Ros a' Mhíl, a port 23 miles west of Galway City centre. Aran Island Ferries operate a fleet of luxury, purpose-built ferries that vary in passenger capacity to accommodate private charter, as well as our scheduled sailings and ensure that our customers enjoy the best possible service. All our boats (except the Sea Sprinter) have a snack bar serving light refreshments and alcoholic beverages. <br>
<ul>
<li> Passengers are advised to allow one hour driving time from the City to the Port and must check in 1/2 an hour prior to sailing time.</li>
<li> If availing of our Shuttle Bus service which departs from Merchants Rd in the City Centre, passengers are advised to check in 1½ hours prior to sailing time.</li>
<li> Irish Free Travel Pass/ Senior Smart Pass accepted.</li>
<li> For excellent group and family rates please call our office.</li>

Daily sailings from Rossaveal in County Galway to Inis Mór, the largest of the three Aran Islands, all year round. We also travel to the smaller islands of Inis Meáin and Inis Oírr during the summer months. We also provide a private bus transfer from Galway City centre to Rossaveal.

No visit to Connemara is complete without a visit to Inishbofin Island, one of the most westerly Islands off the Irish coastline. The unique Island of Inishbofin is located only 10 kilometers off the north Connemara coast, and is only a 30 minute crossing from the idyllic fishing village of Cleggan, just minutes drive from Clifden. Located only ninety minutes west of Galway city Cleggan is the point of departure for the Ferry service to the island. The Island Itself, is a haven of beauty, boasting magnificent scenery from cliff top walks to the sea on all sides to white sandy beaches and an abundance of rare flora and fauna.
