Clifden Traditional Music Festival is a weekend of the very best of Irish music, song and dance with concerts, sessions, workshops and outdoor entertainment.
he Festival will begin on Friday the 13th of April with an official opening and concert in Clifden Station House Hotel at 7pm.
Featuring a host of local and visiting talent, just like 2010 and 2011 its going to be a great evening of music, song and dance.
A big highlight this year will be the "Gig Rig" on the town square on Saturday evening. The "Dartry Ceili Band" who are All Ireland Champions and hail from Sliog and Mayo will perform on the Gig Rig from 7.30pm. It promises to be a great night and lots of local talent will also perform. Its the 1st time an act of this calibre has performed at Clifden Trad Fest and we expect it to be a great night! and its free!!!
Ireland.com listed the festival as one of the top 10 festivals of 2010, its sure to be another cracker for 2012. With a host of local and visiting musicians, singers and dancers its one for the diaries!
