Loughwell Farm Park is widely considered one of the premier family attractions in the West of Ireland, located in the scenic Moycullen countryside just 20 minutes from Galway City (H91 H568). This massive 12,000-square-foot facility is masterfully designed to offer a full day of entertainment regardless of the Atlantic weather. Inside the enormous Playbarn, children (and brave adults!) can tackle some of the largest indoor slides in Ireland, while the imaginative “Play Village” allows kids to role-play in a mini Fire Station, Hospital, and Shop. Outdoors, the adventure continues with go-kart tracks, zip wires, and a massive straw bale maze. Combined with the friendly resident alpacas, miniature ponies, and the famous “Haribo” sheep, Loughwell provides a wholesome, action-packed escape for families of all ages.

Note: Opening days vary by season. During school terms, the park typically operates on weekends (Saturday & Sunday), while opening daily during midterm breaks and summer holidays. Online pre-booking is mandatory for all visits.
*Note: Due to capacity management, indoor play sessions are typically limited to 3 hours (tracked via a wristband system), but you are welcome to stay and enjoy the outdoor facilities for the remainder of the day.

What animals can we meet?
The farm is home to a wide variety of friendly animals including Alpacas, Kune Kune pigs, miniature ponies, deer, goats, and rabbits. There is a daily schedule of supervised activities where children can feed the alpacas and cuddle the rabbits.
Is there a restaurant on-site?
Yes, the Elderflower Restaurant is located inside the Playbarn and serves a selection of homemade meals, hot snacks, and coffee. While you can bring your own picnic to use in the designated outdoor areas or the marquee, external food is not permitted inside the restaurant area.
What are the age limits for the slides?
Children under 18 months enter for free but are too young for the mega slides. There is a dedicated soft play area for under-5s. For the larger slides, there is no upper age limit—the equipment is reinforced so parents can join in the fun with their children!

Loughwell Farm Park is situated in 15mins drive from Galway in the beautiful Moycullen countryside between Moycullen and Spiddal. The park has a 360 degree backdrop of Connemara and the has been carefully designed to fit naturally into the Connemara landscape with stone roundabouts, beech lined walkways, timber play villages, duck pond and use of natural materials such as sand, timber, stone boulders and more. Two large buildings lead onto a decked courtyard where the adults can watch the children play. The many friendly animals include pot bellied pigs, miniature and regular ponies, cows, sheep, alpacas, goats, chickens, donkeys, rabbits and much more.
