The Corrib system is one of the few natural brown trout fisheries remaining in Europe. The system is a network of rivers and lakes, the Corrib, Mask and Carragh being the largest covering approx 26,500 hectares. The shallow alkaline waters with a myriad of insect life make for the finest trout fishing in the west of Ireland.

Our guides are Failte Ireland approved and have a history of fishing the Corrib system for generations. Their expertise and knowledge will enhance every opportunity to land the finest wild brown trout.

Operating out of picturesque Annaghkeen bay Corrib Anglers are just four miles from Headford. Coming from Galway turn left at the main intersection in Headford at Joyce’s supermarket and continue straight, without deviation, for four miles until you reach Annaghkeen bay. Our guide will be there to greet you. Alternatively we can collect you from Galway City, the airport, train station or bus terminal for a small fee. We can also collect you on the lake shore from any part of the Corrib. We have a number of partners who provide accommodation for anglers right by the shores of Lough Corrib in Headford. We provide Boat, engines and rod hire.

Set in a wonderful location offering an ideal base for exploring Connemara to the north, the Burren close by, the Cliffs of Moher to the southwest and the Aran Islands off the West Coast. Hill walking, fishing, cycling and viewing the area's spectacular archaeology are popular activities nearby. West Galway School of Navigation is an all-year-round Sailing and Navigation School. During the summer they offer speed boat rides with a chance of seeing seals, dolphins and other wildlife in their vessel named 'Mollymawk' which is a Department of the Marine approved 5 person passenger vessel. The school is based in Ballyconneely but they run in various other venues. Telephone in advance for details of where and when the rides are operating. Training in sailing and shore-based activities also available.

Excellent parkland course that is centrally located in Salthill, just three miles from Galway City Centre. It has a magnificent new clubhouse which boasts panoramic views of Galway Bay and the Burren from its elevated site. The Club has a proud and distinguished history dating back to its inception in 1895.

In the other direction, we are just 5 miles from Cong village and the famous Ashford Castle with its tranquil garden walks. If you are after an action packed holiday, you can enjoy some hill climbing in beautiful Connemara or join one of our professional guides for a day out on Lough Corrib catching that fish of a lifetime. However, for those of you after a quieter stay, you can spend a day on one of the many local Premier golf courses, or simply watching the day drift by in the most beautiful surroundings.

Our Guesthouse is newly built and has a total of 8 bedrooms ensuite, all rooms have Televisions, phones and Tea/Coffee making facilities. Michelle will ensure you never go hungry with her selection of breakfast menus, be it a full Irish or continental. She is also always on hand to help you select from her delicious evening menu which has lots of home cooked goodies in store.
