Both a museum and a jewellery shop, this establishment is dedicated to the history of this Galway made ring. Named after an old fishing area in the county, the rings were worn to indicate marriage but now they are just a token of friendship and are worn by Irish and Irish descendents the world over.

Set on the Connemara coast four miles south of Clifden, Errislannan Manor is a stately old manor estate with gardens, woodlands, a trout lake and equestrian centre that breeds Connemara ponies and guides tours by horseback through the estate and into Connemara's moors and mountains.
Sheltered by a surrounding wood the Manor overlooks the trout lake and houses the Errislannan Manor Connemara pony stud and riding centre. Erisslannan Manor provides the rare opportunity for riding and trekking on the famous Connemara ponies. Since 1960 Errislannan has also bred Connemara ponies, using the same female bloodlines. Also on the Errislannan Estate is an impressive garden that has earned membership into the Royal Horticultural Society of Ireland Irish gardens for charity scheme.
Pony trekking takes place each morning from Mon to Friday each morning and rates are charged by the hour. Generally 1-2 hours provides plenty of time in the saddle. Private treks can be arranged.

HipKidz is an interactive sports and activities arena, which, through its scientific technology, has the ability to measure kids' performances across a wide section of sports, activities and motor skills. Through the high-tech audio response system, the HipKidz facility replicates the sounds of a natural stadium and kids respond dramatically and in a positive fashion.
Instructors bring the groups through the three distinctly different athletics and ball sports zones and there is complete structure, safety and a 'fun-like' discipline to the HipKidz concept and experience. From a mini athletics stadium and ball target impact panels to indoor Gaelic games, rugby, basketball and soccer, HipKidz offers loads of great sports and fun, fitness activities. This club is like an activity version of a giant Playstation, with kids increasing their fitness and athletic ability while having fun across all sporting disciplines.
All activities, sports and athletic disciplines are fitted with laser beams/breakbeams, timers, push buttons and sensor padding, allowing all performances, including sprint, accuracy, high jump, long jump and ball skills/targets to be measured.
The HipKidz ethos is to motivate children through a specially designed TARA Programme, revolving around targets, achievement, rewards and assessment. This high-tempo workout concludes with a healthy meal, from the club's delicious Wild Nettle Restaurant.

The Galway Early Music Festival is an exciting international event that celebrates the culture of Europe from the 12th to the 18th centuries through authentic music, dance, costume and colour set in the medieval city of Galway. Held annually over a weekend in mid-May weekend, the festival's goal is to entertain and inform an ever-increasing audience in the music and dance of the medieval, renaissance and baroque periods of history through a series of concerts, workshops and masterclasses. Interaction is encouraged between professional and amateur musicians in order to produce historically accurate performances, as well as introducing early music and dance to primary and secondary school children as part of their heritage. Highlights of the festival include a walking tour of medieval Galway, costumed parades, a treasure hunt, oral storytelling and mime, minstrel singing and Ceili dancing. Events are held in the cathedral, various city centre churches, the city library and Galway Rowing Club in Woodquay.
