Baboro, Ireland’s premier international arts festival for children and families runs in Galway city and county this year from 15th - 21st October 2018 featuring Theatre, Dance, Literature, Music, Puppetry, Workshops and Visual Art for all ages.
Among the Baboró highlights of the 2017 festival were The Peter Pan Experience from Het Laagland in the Netherlands, a quirky, high-energy, show about rediscovering the joys of play; Bounce, from Arcosm in France, a sensitive and funny dance show featuring live music with plenty of climbing, playing, dancing and singing; and Wot? No Fish!! from England’s Danny Braverman, the wonderful true story of Braverman’s Great Uncle Ab and Great Aunt Celie raising their family in 20th century London.
Baboró originated as an offshoot of Galway Arts Festival in 1996, specialising in shows for children and younger people. See the magic of well-known stories come to dazzling life on the stage. Special treats are also in store for everyone with beautiful exhibitions, readings and workshops. Come to Galway to experience this delightful Festival and explore this beautiful family-friendly city.
