Galway Comedy Festival returns in October 2026 and is expected to be bigger and better than ever. It will run from the 20 to 26 October 2026 and will present leading Irish and international comics, improv, theatre, mime, table quizzes, photography, hip hop, and much more. Get ready for the party of the century as Galway once again lights up with laughter.

Highlights of last years 2025 Comedy Festival 😂

• Dylan Moran – Performed multiple shows (Pálás, Black Box, Raheen Woods); one of Ireland’s top international comedians.

• Rhod Gilbert – Major headliner at Leisureland.

• Omid Djalili – Headlined at the Town Hall Theatre.

• Jack Dee – Performed at the Black Box Theatre.

• Paul Smith – Sold-out headliner at Leisureland (two nights).

• Deirdre O’Kane – Featured in multiple line-ups and Closing Gala.

• Emma Doran – Headliner and podcast performer (Town Hall, Closing Gala).

• Al Porter – Returned to the circuit with solo and group performances.

• David McSavage – Featured at Black Box and solo show at Pálás.

• Rich Hall – Multiple appearances (Róisín Dubh, Black Box).

• Karl Spain – Solo show CRoíACT and host of the Late Night KARLnival.

• Aideen McQueen – Appeared in several events including Gaire as Gaeilge and solo show.

• Andrew Maxwell – Appeared in group shows with Glenn Wool and others.

• Deirdre O’Kane – Major Irish comedy name appearing several times (also part of Gala).

• Hector Ó hEochagáin – Featured in Gaire as Gaeilge and solo show at Pálás.

Galway Comedy Festival has grown year on year to its current position as one of Ireland’s top festivals, attracting world class comedians and thousands of visitors to Galway for a last blast of laughter before winter.
