About the Sailing Club
The Clifden Boat Club is a small sailing Club situated on the West coast of Ireland, just two miles outside the picturesque town of Clifden, Connemara. With a fine fleet of 420s and six brand new Laser Picos ready for use, you have no excuse not to get your wet gear out and come and join us. In addition to this there are several dinghies owned by club members ready to enter any interesting series of races.

Tip: If you are visiting Clifden town by boat, use the club’s visitor moorings rather than the town quay if you have a deep draft, as the quay dries out significantly. The walk into town along the Beach Road is one of the most scenic short walks in Connemara. Also, keep an eye out for the “Sunday Sailing” sessions—non-members can often participate in taster sessions!
