Galway Art Academy is the leading art school in the west of Ireland, founded and led by Teaching Artist Dee Deegan. At Galway Art Academy, creativity goes far beyond traditional drawing and painting. Through a carefully structured curriculum, students explore art, design, and crafts while making cross-curricular connections to history, maths, and science. Lessons are interactive, fun, and tailored to each student’s interests, encouraging problem solving, self-expression, and confidence building.

The Academy offers weekly afterschool art classes for children aged 7–12, designed to nurture creativity while complementing the primary school curriculum. For school holidays, Creative Camps for kids (7–12) and Teen Camps (13+) provide an unforgettable experience full of hands-on art, games, and friendship in a safe, supportive space. Teen participants also benefit from personalised portfolio guidance in small groups.
