Pedal Power Galway offers Ireland’s most unique and eco-friendly way to explore the vibrant streets of Galway City. Operating a custom-built, 15-passenger “party bike,” this experience is designed for high-energy social groups, ranging from stag and hen parties to corporate team-building events and birthdays. As you pedal through the city’s historic center and along the scenic Salthill Promenade, you are accompanied by a professional chauffeur/guide who handles the steering and safety while you and your crew provide the “pedal power.”
Equipped with a high-spec sound system for your own playlists and vibrant LED lighting for evening tours, it is a mobile celebration that turns heads and guarantees a memorable, laughter-filled tour of the City of Tribes.

Note: Tours are weather-dependent, but the bike is equipped with a roof to keep passengers dry during light Atlantic showers.
*Note: While the bike has 15 seats, only 10 seats have pedals, allowing a few members of the group to sit back and enjoy the ride without the workout!

Can we drink alcohol on the bike?
In accordance with Irish road safety legislation, alcohol consumption is not permitted while the bike is in motion. However, tours are designed with “pit stops” at some of Galway’s most iconic pubs, allowing your group to enjoy a drink before hopping back on to pedal to the next destination.
What is the minimum and maximum group size?
The bike has a maximum capacity of 15 people. To get the bike moving comfortably, a minimum of 8 to 10 people is recommended. If you have a smaller group, you can still book, but you may need to cover the minimum booking cost.
Can we play our own music?
Absolutely! The bike is equipped with a powerful Bluetooth sound system. You are encouraged to bring your own smartphone with a pre-made playlist to set the vibe for your tour.
About the Pub Crawl Tours Operator
Pedal Power is Galway’s newest form of transportation, with a 15 & 6 seater pedal powered bike. The novel bike is available for tourists, hen & stag parties, large groups, birthday parties, team building exercises or for any other special occasion choose Pedal Power!
Our pub crawl or pubcycle consists of a 2.5 hour bike ride around Galway City at €25 p/p. We stop in at two bars along the route where you get two free shots in two bars when you order your drinks plus 10% of all food and great value pints in Monroe’s Tavern.
Pedal Power Galway was one of the winners at the Start Up Weekend in October 2015 at GMIT. It is the brainchild of local man, Paul Murray. Only 6 months after the idea was conceived, the bike is a reality on the streets of Galway. It gives you a unique and novel way to experience ‘the best of Galway’ on a social and environmentally friendly pedal powered bike!
Historical and pub crawl tours start outside the Gourmet Tar Co, (opposite the fire station). This is a great way experience Galway City.
