Massimo’s: Late night West End Pub 🍻

Massimo bar was named after a hamster and opened its doors in 2001. Unfortunately the hamster is no longer with us but the bar is bigger and brighter than ever. Never one to follow the traditional concept of what a Galway pub should be, a renovation at Massimo in 2016 continued to see the contemporary design compliment what the regulars love about the place.

Open 7 days with sports are shown on the eight large TV’s with choices like ‘The Massimo’ Beef Burger or ‘The Works’ pizza to keep you fuelled until the full-time whistle. The gem of a beer garden is a calm retreat if you want to take a break from the madding crowd.

By night, Massimo comes alive, refusing to let The West End party finish with bars that serve late at the weekend, live music on Sundays. Food is served from 5.00 pm to 10.00 pm, Monday to Friday, as well as throughout the weekend from 12.00 pm to 10.00 pm. Ken’s carefully curated whiskey and gin collections are about quality rather than quantity and the wine list is worth the visit to the bar alone.
