FAQs about Real Adventures Connemara
Do I need to be a strong swimmer for Coasteering?
You should be comfortable in the water and able to swim at least 25 metres. You will be wearing a thick 5mm wetsuit and a buoyancy aid, which makes you very floaty, so you don’t need to be an Olympic athlete!
Can children participate in rock climbing?
Yes, Real Adventures is very family-friendly. Children as young as 8 can usually participate in climbing and kayaking sessions, provided they are accompanied by an adult. It’s a fantastic way for families to bond in the outdoors.
What should I bring with me?
For water activities, bring swimwear for under your wetsuit, a towel, and a pair of old trainers that can get wet. For land activities, comfortable sports clothes and sturdy hiking/walking shoes are best.
