The Galway Potters’ Market returns to Eyre Square on May 3rd and 4th, 2025, celebrating the best of Irish studio pottery and ceramics. Running from 10am to 6pm each day, the market offers visitors a chance to meet talented potters and ceramic artists from across Ireland. Browse an incredible variety of handcrafted pieces, admire the creativity on display, and purchase unique ceramics directly from the makers. Held over the May Day weekend, this vibrant event invites pottery lovers to immerse themselves in the world of clay, craftsmanship, and conversation, right in the heart of Galway’s bustling city centre.
This will be the 15th year running the Galway Potters Market. It has become a really popular event, bringing the best of Irish ceramics into the public domain. It is organised on a voluntary basis by 2 local studio potters, Orla Culligan and Carly McCann, with the support of the Galway City Council and the Local Enterprise office.
