No, the Fisherman’s Pub is open to non-residents for lunch and dinner and The Terrace is open for lunch. It is very popular, especially on weekends, so pre-booking on +353 95 31006 is recommended as in high season it can get very busy.
Can I learn to fish if I’ve never tried it?
Yes, Ballynahinch offers expert fly-fishing tuition. You can book a session with a gillie who will provide all the gear and teach you the basics of casting on the riverbanks.

Location: Located just off the N59 in Recess. It is roughly 1 hour and 15 minutes from Galway City and 20 minutes from Clifden. The drive through the Inagh Valley to reach the castle is considered one of the most beautiful in the world.
