Cleggan Fringe Festival 2024
Food, Drink & Music Festival in Connemara
The Cleggan Fringe Festival is a new event featuring live gigs, food and drink stalls at the village country market, traditional Irish music and Sean Nós Dancing.
The Connemara fishing village of Cleggan has a long connection with writers and artists, most notably the poet Richard Murphy and novelist John McGahern who both lived here. The actress Jeananne Crowley has also called Cleggan ‘home’ for many years.
Traditional Music and dance are steadfast features of the village’s four pubs (Oliver’s, Newman’s, Joyce’s and The Pier) and this Music and Food Festival celebrates the best aspects of the village’s music and seafood heritage.
Along with the festival Cleggan also offers many stunning local beaches, a riding centre and lots of walking and riding trails.
