2024 Galway LGBTQ+ Festival 🏳️‍🌈

The annual Galway Pride Festival – the longest continual Pride event in Ireland is expected to take place from Monday August 5 to Sunday 11 2024. This new event will encompass everything that makes our city the cultural magnet that it is. The aim is to encourage involvement from the wider community, and to highlight the great variety of people that make Galway such a vibrant and exciting place to live and visit. Events throughout the week will include evenings of information and awareness, arts and performance, music nights and the colourful parade on the final Saturday of the festival.

What’s on at Galway Pride 2024

Details for 2024 have not yet been confirmed, but here’s a look back at what was on in 2023 to give you a flavour of the festival.

🌈 Bród Na Gaillimhe
There are bilingual panels with an emphasis on mental health, disabilities, and the building of safe places for LGBTQI+ communities, as well as information awareness seminars, a Queer Women’s Night, and these events. There will also be plenty of street entertainment and drag queen master sessions.

Le linn seachtain Bhróid na Gaillimhe, Lúnasa 7ú-13ú, beidh réimse d’imeachtaí ar siúl againn. Le picnicí, siamsaíocht bheo, painéil iontacha, imeachtaí lasmuigh agus go leor rudaí eile san áireamh.

The march through the city on the following Saturday 10th August in the afternoon will be the festival’s high point.

The Galway Pride Festival committee on an annual basis welcome expressions of interest from people wishing to take part in the festival, from street entertainers to volunteers.
