Celebrate New Year’s Eve 2026 in Galway 🎆

Galway City is set to ring in 2027 with a vibrant, family-focused New Year’s Eve celebration on December 31st. As part of Galway City Council’s Night-Time Economy programme, the historical grounds of St. Nicholas Collegiate Church will host an evening of music, art, and early festivities from 6pm to 9pm—completely free and open to all.

With the Christmas Market and local venues open late, Galway offers the perfect setting for families and revellers to continue celebrations into the night.

The Féile forms part of Galway City Council’s Night-Time Economy initiative, aimed at creating safe, inclusive, and enjoyable evening events for residents and visitors alike. With a diverse programme of musical talent, the atmosphere promises to be lively and memorable. Galway’s restaurants, cafés, and bars will also be open, offering plenty of options for food, drinks, and continued celebrations throughout the night.

After the street festivities conclude, attendees are encouraged to extend the festivities in one of Galway’s many renowned pubs or live music venues, keeping the New Year spirit alive well into the night.
