Seachtain na Gaeilge Festival 2025
The world’s largest Irish language festival
The annual Seachtain na Gaeilge festival takes place from 1 – 17 March 2025. The world’s largest Irish language festival is a fortnight-long celebration of the Irish language, culture and heritage. It encapsulates the pride of the Irish language community and inspires further generations to immerse themselves in our native tongue. The festival has built up a huge momentum in recent years, becoming the largest celebration of the Irish language and culture held every year. Seachtain na Gaeilge has something for everyone; young and old, native and non-native, fluent and novice.
Seachtain Na Gaeilge
Seachtain na Gaeilge was first held in 1902 and groups around the world will be celebrating over 120 years of the festival this year. #SnaG will continue the tradition of celebrating the Irish language, and this year people are asked to make taking part in the festival their new tradition from now on. All you need is a cúpla focal!.
Further information on the festival’s events can be found on PEIG.ie For those looking for resources such as quizzes, games or posters, these can be found from the festival site, snag.ie
The festival has been organised by Conradh na Gaeilge since 1902 and receives support from Foras na Gaeilge and Energia.
