Christmas Market down the West 🎄

The Westend Christmas Market is expected to return in 2026 to bring a full month of festive magic to Galway’s Westend, transforming Silke’s Cash & Carry into a warm and welcoming holiday hub from November to December. Opening times expected – Monday to Friday from 11am–6pm, and weekends from 11am–8pm, the market promises twinkling lights, colourful stalls, and a joyful atmosphere filled with music, community spirit, and seasonal treats.

Each day, visitors can browse 10 to 20 artisan stalls showcasing the very best of local creativity. From handmade gifts, candles, jewellery, prints, and knitwear to festive bakes, honey, books, decorations, vintage clothing, crafts, and beauty products, there’s something to delight every shopper. The market is an ideal place to find meaningful presents while supporting small Galway businesses.

Entertainment 🎶

A vibrant programme of live entertainment is expected throughout the month, featuring well-loved local musicians.

Families will find plenty to enjoy, from kids’ crafts and face painting to paper star workshops, festive movie screenings, Winter Solstice activities, and a fun photo booth. A cosy relaxation area invites visitors to sit back and soak up the festive spirit.

Supported by Galway City Night-Time Economy, with funding from Galway City Council and the Department of Culture, Communications and Sport, the Westend Christmas Market offers a family-friendly indoor celebration of Galway’s creative community, complete with acoustic music, casual seating, and alcohol-free refreshments.
