What is Baboró 🐦

Now in it’s 30th year, Baboró is Ireland’s flagship international arts festival devoted exclusively to children and families. This annual week-long festival of world-class creative arts features some of the best Irish and International artists and hosts creative engagement workshops for school children and families. The festival includes outreach programmes for children and families living in County Galway, Professional Development industry events.

Expect shows from theatre companies from all corners of the world. Kids can get there creative juices flowing while spending time with their parents in the Creative Connections strand of events. Multiple events featuring design and engineering, drawing, and curating their own gallery in an explosion of colour, offer kids and adults the chance to spend quality time together.
