FAQs about Walk Connemara
What gear do I need to bring?
For mountain hikes, waterproof hiking boots with ankle support are mandatory. You should also bring waterproof layers, plenty of water, and snacks. For easier coastal strolls, sturdy walking shoes may suffice, but Paul will confirm requirements during your booking.
Are there scheduled public walks I can join?
Walk Connemara currently focuses on private/exclusive bookings. While scheduled public walks were offered in the past, a private guide is now the best way to secure a tour. This allows the pace and route to be specifically matched to your group.
Can children participate?
Yes! Paul can design family-friendly walks that include interesting stops at fairy forts, holy wells, or tidal beaches like Omey Island, which are engaging for younger explorers.
