Kinvara Farmers Market
Lively market in scenic Kinvara 🥙🥕🧶🖼
The Kinvara Farmers Market is a vibrant, open-air celebration of community, creativity, and exceptional local produce, held every Friday from March to October, 10am to 2pm, on Courthouse Road in the scenic village of Kinvara on the southern shores of Galway Bay. Just a 30-minute drive from Galway City and located along the Wild Atlantic Way, this lively market features 20–25 stalls offering a rich selection of locally sourced and handmade goods.
Visitors can browse fresh fish, free-range duck and hen eggs, and an impressive variety of world-class and farmhouse cheeses. Organic and seasonal vegetables, fruits, berries, and flowers are abundant, while home-baked organic breads, cakes, and bagels tempt the senses. Jams, pickles, oils, olives, pestos, and honey fill the air with delicious aromas, while Runge Coffee, soups, and lunchtime snacks provide sustenance at the cheerful picnic tables.
The artisan stalls showcase unique crafts such as jewellery, paintings, natural skincare, woodwork, and photography from talented locals like Brigid Vinnell, The Connemara Printmaker, Cliodhna Skincare, and Quin Art’s Helen Lowe.
Adding to the market’s magic is the live music from beloved local musicians Johnny Moynihan, Frank Hall, John Martin, and friends. Their infectious tunes bring joy to both shoppers and stallholders, creating a warm and festive atmosphere that keeps people coming back.
Whether you’re stocking up for the week, catching up with friends, or simply soaking up the soul-lifting music and smells, Kinvara Farmers Market is the perfect Friday outing.
