Real Adventures Connemara

Multi-Watersport Adventures in Galway 🛶🧗‍♀️

Based in the rugged heart of Connemara, Real Adventures specialises in providing authentic, small-group outdoor experiences that connect visitors with the landscape. Founded and operated by a team of passionate adventurers, the centre focuses on showcasing the “real” West of Ireland through land and water-based activities.

They are best known for their spectacular sea kayaking tours around Clifden and Cleggan, and their thrilling rock climbing sessions on the limestone cliffs of Roundstone. FAQs about Real Adventures Connemara

Do I need to be a strong swimmer for Coasteering?

You should be comfortable in the water and able to swim at least 25 metres. You will be wearing a thick 5mm wetsuit and a buoyancy aid, which makes you very floaty, so you don’t need to be an Olympic athlete!

Can children participate in rock climbing?

Yes, Real Adventures is very family-friendly. Children as young as 8 can usually participate in climbing and kayaking sessions, provided they are accompanied by an adult. It’s a fantastic way for families to bond in the outdoors.

What should I bring with me?

For water activities, bring swimwear for under your wetsuit, a towel, and a pair of old trainers that can get wet. For land activities, comfortable sports clothes and sturdy hiking/walking shoes are best.
