At Slieve Aughty Riding Centre all interests are catered for, from the keen cross-country rider to those who enjoy a relaxed riding holiday, or would like to go trail riding to explore the beautiful Irish countryside on horse back. We have special riding programmes for children and students as well. Slieve Aughty Riding Centre is situated on the edge of a 2.000 acre forest. Galway Equestrian Centre is situated 15 minutes from Galway City. This family run AIRE approved centre offers horse riding instruction for children and adults of all ability from beginners to advanced. Offers friendly, experienced staff, a large outdoor school, a variety of riding activities for all levels and ages, many different types of horses and competitive prices. GEC also offer trail riding during the summer months and is the only EAGALA approved centre for EAL in the west of Ireland.

Flowerhill is located in the West of Ireland near Portumna Co. Galway. We offer equestrian holidays to all competent riders. At Flowerhill we can offer you a holiday that will cater for all tastes. Obviously we have horse riding and disciplines but also on offer locally is karting, fishing, boating, golfing and shooting.

Feeneys Riding Stables established 15 years ago by Gerard Feeney, is located in Thonabrocky, three miles from Galway city and one mile from Knocknacarra. Feeney's provides a wide range of services including regular horse riding lessons, trekking in the countryside, and livery. It caters for adult riders and children. Please contact us for bookings.

Set on the Connemara coast four miles south of Clifden, Errislannan Manor is a stately old manor estate with gardens, woodlands, a trout lake and equestrian centre that breeds Connemara ponies and guides tours by horseback through the estate and into Connemara's moors and mountains. Sheltered by a surrounding wood the Manor overlooks the trout lake and houses the Errislannan Manor Connemara pony stud and riding centre. Erisslannan Manor provides the rare opportunity for riding and trekking on the famous Connemara ponies. Since 1960 Errislannan has also bred Connemara ponies, using the same female bloodlines. Also on the Errislannan Estate is an impressive garden that has earned membership into the Royal Horticultural Society of Ireland Irish gardens for charity scheme. Pony trekking takes place each morning from Mon to Friday each morning and rates are charged by the hour. Generally 1-2 hours provides plenty of time in the saddle. Private treks can be arranged.

The Connemara Trail, run by Aille Cross Equestrian Centre is not just for riders, but for anyone who enjoys other activities in a peaceful Irish atmosphere. Connemara a vast region where you will meet a man with a very original personaiity, Willie Leahy; the very incarnation of an lrish horseman, who will be your guide during a week or more of trekking through the gaelic West. For beginners and experienced riders alike, Willie Leahy provides the suitable horse and leads you to the discovery of the Connemara / Coast Trails. Six days or more of exciting and relaxing holidays, where, after you spending four to six hours a day on horseback, you are accommodated in luxurious hotels or guesthouses while the horses graze freely in a nearby field.

Guided by this friendly centaure, you cross the wild green hills, the rust coloured bogs through which, alone an experienced man knows his way. Among castle and manor ruins and along mountain paths, there is a picnic stop. The Trails are not confined to horselovers. On demand, many activities such as river fishing and deep-sea fishing, golf, cycling, mountain climbing or walking the little deserted roads, swimming etc. can be organised. Non-riders will meet their riding Partners every evening to share their daily experience in the hotel pub.

The Cleggan Beach Riding Centre is an approved riding school and is Connemara's most renowned beach trekking centre. The centre provides a variety of trekking options including short and long treks and mountain treks. Our most popular ride is our 3 hour trek across a huge spectacular beach to Omey Island at low tide. We have 3 resident qualified instructors with over 30 years experience and a large number of well-schooled horses and ponies suitable for all ages and standards.

At Ashford Equestrian Centre ride Irish horses on your holiday and get to places seldom seen. With Tom Clesham you can set forth each day and explore the mountains, valleys and forests of this romantic area, featured in "The Quiet Man" film. We specialise in groups of four to six with four hours of riding each day.
