Saint Brigid’s Day on February 1st annually, is a Gaelic traditional festival marking the arrival of spring. Referred to as Imbolc or Imbolg in Gaelic, it is the feast day of Saint Brigid, Ireland’s only female patron saint and Saint Brigid’s Day marks the halfway point on the calendar between the winter solstice and the spring equinox.
