Immerse yourself in the lush surroundings of mature woodlands and rolling green pastures on the shores of Ballyquirk Lake at Wildlands near Moycullen village on the outskirts of Galway City. Only 15 minutes drive from the city, Wildlands Adventure Park promises to be the perfect getaway for energetic young families and groups.
Outdoor adventure activities 🛶
Adults and children (7+) can experience one of Ireland’s largest aerial, woodland trekking and ziplining courses. The Grand Course stands 14 metres high running for more than one kilometre through the forest canopy. In all there are over 70 obstacles ranging from high ropes, bridges and swinging challenges. The 10 zip lines includes a state of the art 12-metre high, 3-tier activity tower with the longest involving a 100 metres traverse through the woods with views of Ballyquirke Lake.
Other outdoor activities include Standup Paddleboarding on Ballyquirke Lough, archery, tag archery, disk golf, orienteering, field archery, team building challenge, forest trails, cycling and bush craft.
Indoor activities at Wildlands 🧗
Wildlands also houses an extensive indoor activity centre with multiple climbing walls of varying difficulty and suitable for all ages and skill levels. There is also a large, fully automated escape rooms style arena with 24 ‘Crystal Maze’ style unique challenge rooms with an Irish Mythology twist, ensuring a variety of mental physical tests. Each group challenge must be completed within the allocated time and includes live scoring. The centre also features a sports hall for indoor soccer, ball sports and athletics. Little ones will enjoy the wonderful play village for imaginative and creative play.
For the little ones, Cloud unique playground maze combined with net tunnels that allows you to jump and climb through layered clouds within a safe play system, without the need for a harness. Suitable for ages 4 to 10 years.
New attractions
The Celtic Challenge Rooms at Wildlands open in February 2022, with a large 2 floor arena where your team’s mission is to solve as many of the 24 escape rooms as you can within 90 minutes. Challenges will be either a physical, mental or skill based challenges of varying difficulty, think Crystal Maze or the Cube and you’ll get the idea. Two new indoor adventures, the Wildlands Ninja Warrior and Cloud Climb Obstacle Courses will also open in Spring 2022. Use and develop your Ninja skills to climb, balance, jump and swing across a series of obstacles on the exciting new Ninja Warrior course! Suitable for 8 years and over. There so much to do indoors, say goodbye to boring rainy days!

Dining at Wildlands 🍕
Relax and repose after all the fun in the onsite restaurant café ‘The Olive Tree Kitchen’. Open to the public and visitors, their menu champions locally sourced and home-grown ingredients, including vegetables from the Wildlands garden on site. The Firebrick pizza is a firm favourite, cooked in front of you in a traditional Neapolitan pizza oven. There’s even the “Wildlands Wagon”, a retro Volkswagen Van selling great coffee and treats.
Cosy Wooden Cabin Accommodation 🏡
The new luxurious self catering lodges are now available to book at Wildlands. There are 14 distinct cabins with high-end decor available with a panoramic views over Ballyquirke Lake. Wildlands offer five different types of holiday cabins: studio, two-bedroom family, large studio, large studio with kids’ room, and their large wheelchair-friendly accessible cabin. All Wildlands amenities, including the award-winning Olive Tree Kitchen adventure centre are all conveniently situated within a minute’s walk of all cabins.
