Galway Aboo Halloween Festival (28th - 31st October 2017)

Galway Abooo Festival HalloweenThe Galway Aboo Halloween Festival takes place across Galway from Friday 27th to Monday 30th of October 2017. It is the country’s largest Halloween Festival and plays host to a number of activities and events so promises to be a superb weekend for all ages.

Macnas Halloween Parade

The annual Hallowe'en parade by Macnas (who celebrate their 31st anniversary this year), will take place on Sunday 29th October 2017 at approximately 5.30pm.  This years parade is called 'Port Na bPucaí (The Song of the Spirits)' and as you would expect from the internationally renowned street theatre group, Macnas will be putting on a street-hopping, traffic-stopping party with a host of new giants, performances, bespoke costumes and live original music all drenched in their award-winning design. Spectators are encouraged to wear costumes too!

Carnevil

Carnevil is dubbed as “the west of Ireland’s first scare attraction”, will be located above McGettigans Pub on Eyre Square. Carnevil runs until midnight on Halloween night. The opening times are 4pm to 11pm (October 28th - 31st). The event is strictly over 16s. For more see: www.carnevil.ie

Fearfest

FearFest at Loughwell Farm Park in Moycullen, Co Galway is the West of Ireland's first and ONLY terrifying scream park. With three different haunted scare attractions, FearFest will give you more than you can handle of terrifying thrills and spine-tingling chills. The Salthill Zombie Chase

On Saturday the 28th of October, a crowd of terrifying zombies will once again be released onto the Salthill Prom. Their mission, to capture every human (big or small) who dares to take on the challenge of “The Village Salthill Zombie Chase” and prevent them from making it to the Safety Zone of Salthill Park! The Zombie Chase will begin at 2pm at The Galway Business School, Salthill and is in aid of the National Support and Awareness Charity ACT for Meningitis.

Spooky Fest at Loughwell Farm Park

Spooky Fest at Loughwell Farm Park, Moycullen, Co Galway is the ONLY fun spooky house interactive experience for children in the West of Ireland. There will be a full Halloween Show with wonky witches Winnie & Wanda having a fun time looking for their broom stick in their very own huge spooky house. The children will get to follow the witches through the secret passageways in the spooky house to look for the ingredients of a magic potion with lots of fun and games along the way. The children will also get to have fun on all the activities at Loughwell Farm Park including the well-loved barrel train, Go kart tracks & indoor slides. It runs from 11.00 am to 4.00 pm on Sat 21, Sun 21, Sat 28, Sun 29 & Mon 30 & Tues 31 October 2017 and costs a €2.50 supplement per child on top of usual entry prices of €12.00 per child for the full day. Adults cost €5.00 entry to Loughwell Farm & No adult cost for Halloween show. No need to book. Shows will run throughout the day.
