Tip: If you only have time for one thing, the “Killary Challenge” (a combination of land and water tasks) is the best way to see the site. For the bravest in the group, the “Braveheart” jump from the fjord pier into the water is a legendary right of passage. Also, be sure to visit the nearby village of Leenane afterward—it’s where the famous movie “The Field” was filmed!

Do I need to be fit to participate?
There are activities for every level. While some (like the Mud Run) are physically demanding, others like Archery or steady Kayaking are suitable for most fitness levels. Instructors adjust the challenge to suit the group.
What happens if it rains?
In Connemara, we say there’s no such thing as bad weather, just bad clothing! Most activities go ahead in the rain—in fact, the Mud Run and Kayaking are often more fun when it’s wet. Wetsuits and safety gear are provided.
Is there an age limit?
Activities are generally suitable for children aged 8 and up. They also offer specific family packages where younger children can participate in modified versions of certain land activities.
