Lisdoonvarna Co. Clare, on the edge of Burren National Park is one Ireland’s best known Spa towns. Famous for its traditional music and festivals throughout the year. The village has a wide variety of pubs along with many hotels, B&B’s and guesthouses. One of the main festivals, The Lisdoonvarna Matchmaking Festival takes place in early October! This festival brings thousands of singletons from all over Ireland and beyond to enjoy the music, dance and craic for one whole week. Lisdoonvarna’s famous Victorian Spa Complex and health Centre is set in an attractive parkland setting. The Spa’s therapeutic mineral waters of sulphur, iron and magnesium have been dispensed since the 18th century, and the strong smelling sulphur water is served hot and cold in the pump. The source of the water can be viewed in the illuminated well.
