A popular attraction for all the family is Leisureland, a modern leisure centre and theme park right on the promenade. Features include a 25-metre 6-lane competitive deck level pool, a warm up pool as well as a kiddies leisure pool. It also has a health and fitness suite with a gym, sauna, steam room and a massage treatment centre. During the summer months the complex also has a large amusement park on the seafront site with everything from bumper cars to waltzers to the iconic big wheel.

Due to the close proximity with Galway city you can travel on foot, by bike, by bus or by car.
From Galway City by bus take Bus Eireann, route 401 from Eyre Square. Salthill is an affluent suburb of Galway City, less than 3km from the city centre and so is also easily accessible by walking or cycling along the promenade which starts at The Claddagh. Alternatively travel by car by following the R336 west from Galway to Salthill.
